Credit reports require an applicant’s name, social security number (SSN), and at least one previous address. If you do not have a portion of your applicant’s information that is required to request a credit report, please call our Records Research team at: 800-288-4757 opt. 1

Your applicant’s name and a prior address is required for the nationwide eviction history to be completed. If you do not have a portion of your applicant’s information that is required to request a credit report, please call our Records Research team at: 800-288-4757 opt. 1

Your applicant’s name and date of birth (DoB) is required for the nationwide criminal database scan to be completed. If you do not have a portion of your applicant’s information that is required to request a credit report, please call our Records Research team at: 800-288-4757 opt. 1

Yes! In addition to requesting credit reports, nationwide eviction records, and a nationwide criminal database scan, you also have the ability to request the following information to be included in your applicant’s report:

  • Experian RentBureau (included free on all Experian credit reports)
  • Bad Check Search (Check Scan)
  • Social Security Number Check (Social Check)
  • Additional Credit Bureaus (requires account access)

If your company has multiple properties that request reports, and you would like to attribute their usage individually, then you may setup a Billing Code Redirective and select the property your applicant is applying for. To request a Billing Code Redirective please call: 800-288-4757 opt. 3

After you have entered your applicant’s information the CIC system will perform an automated verification that all required information is completed for the products you have selected. Once the verification is complete, the button will change to say “Submit” so you may complete your request.

At the top of the “New Applicant” page there is a section for “Report Status”. If you click the “Refresh” button you will be able to see when reports are processing and available for review.

No. Each applicant’s information must be entered individually, however you may begin submitting a new applicant’s information as soon as the previous applicant’s information has been submitted. This will create a list of applicant reports you may review by refreshing either the “Report Status” window, or by visiting the “List Last 100” page and refreshing the most recent listings.

While you are logged into your screening account move to the tab titled “List Last 100 – Add-Ons – Letters.” Click the link beneath the search bar that says “Click here to REFRESH most recent listings” to bring up the last 100 applicants you have requested reports for. Click anywhere on the line with the applicant’s name to bring up a copy of their report.

Applicant reports stay on file for 6 months before being moved to our archives. To request a report from our archives please call technical support: 800-288-4757 opt 4

Yes! On the “New Applicant” page, in the “Report Status” section at the top is an option labeled “Print Batch.” To use this feature you should first refresh the list, and then select the “Print Batch” option. This will open a new window that will display a list of recent applicant reports, and a button that says “PRINT ALL.”

While you are logged into your screening account move to the tab titled “List Last 100 – Add-Ons – Letters.” Click the link beneath the search bar that says “Click here to REFRESH most recent listings” to bring up the last 100 applicants you have requested reports for. Select the applicant you would like to prepare a letter for by clicking on the small circle to the far left of their name. With your applicant selected you will now be able to select a letter from the section beneath your list of applicants. Click on the letter you would like to create, and then select the button that says “Request Letter.”

Adding products to completed reports is easy with CIC! While you are logged into your screening account move to the tab titled “List Last 100 – Add-Ons – Letters.” Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose additional products and services from the bottom left box labeled “Select Add On Items.” You may select multiple products or services by holding “ctrl” on your keyboard while selecting options. Similarly, options may be deselected using the same process. If you have any additional applicant information to provide, or instructions for CIC’s Records Researchers, enter them into the middle box labeled “Upgrade Instructions/Comments.” When ready, click the button labeled “Submit Request” and a representative will begin working to update your applicant’s report.

As an alternative you may request additional products and services by calling 800-288-4757 opt. 1 with your report number and applicant add-on details.

Times may vary depending on the type of information being added to the report. Certain types of manual searches may take additional time. For the most accurate turn around time estimate CIC recommends asking a representative after requesting the add-on so they may more accurately provide a report completion time frame. 

  • Manager Override for reports containing a CrosXscore rental recommendation
  • Nationwide eviction search (if not included on the original report)
